Hunger is a pervasive issue impacting communities nationwide, and Lunenburg County is no exception. Recognizing this urgent need over two decades ago, our founder and her mother took action to address food insecurity in our community. As the COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated these challenges, Community Resource Services pivoted our mission to focus on inspiring, connecting, and promoting health awareness, educational assistance, and empowerment. Our efforts aim to enhance the quality of life for those served in Southside Virginia. We understand the critical link between food insecurity and chronic health disorders, underscoring the importance of our work in providing access to affordable, nutritious food options for all individuals and families in need.
